ABOUT US

One of the leading benefits that accompanies living in a small town, is the tremendous amount of support that comes from within our community. Throughout the last few years, we have been overwhelmed by the large amount of donations presented to our swim team. Beginning in June, our 8-week season will be packed full of daily weeknight practices, five regular season meets and one championship meet - all leading up to our end of the season celebration!

Throughout the years, our team has been part of the Middle Peninsula Swim League. Due to league regulations, we are unable to host meets. This prohibits our team the opportunity to raise funds through concession sales and also leaves us the responsibility of supplying the championship meet ribbons. In years past, we have competed against four other teams including the Urbanna Barracudas, the West Point Dolphins, the Indian Creek Stingrays, and the Rappahannock River Rats. This year, our league is welcoming the addition of the Northumberland YMCA swim team! 

We are beyond grateful to all of our treasured volunteers and dedicated swimmers. Our team would cease to exist without the unwavering support of the Ricky Taylor Memorial Community Swimming Pool, their lifeguards and managers, and the Deltaville Community Association. Our financial success comes from our local sponsors and their gracious monetary donations. In addition to any donations, our swimmers registration fees cover the cost of the championship meet ribbons, meet cards, lifeguards for practices and our end of the year pool party. With over $2,000 donated last year, we were able to provide each of our swimmers with team shirts, custom swim caps and personalized ribbon hangers!
